Thank you for taking time to go through our website. As stated above my name is Ashley Mwanza and I am a 2nd year marketing student at the University Of Lusaka. Giving back to the community has always been dear to my heart because growing wasn’t a walk in the park for me.
During my high-school days i’d bake and sell different treats at school and in the local markets to enable me pay my tuition. After completing school at the age of 17 I begun to think of ways to sustain my day to day life. Social media was an upcoming network that everyone seemed to be drawn to at the time so I decided to use this to my advantage. Using platforms such as YouTube and google i learnt the art of marketing. Little did I know this would change my life forever. A few months down the road I decided to intern for an international company as an online sales representative and I flourished! Not only did I implement all tasks using my self-taught skills and research, I also brought in an increase in overall sales of up to 25%.
Earning up to k29,000 per quarter without ever stepping into a university lecture room, I only had God to thank for this. After working with the firm for over a year, I decide to sponsor myself to University where I am currently pursuing my Bachelors Degree in the Science of Marketing.
Mission-oriented marketing and communications leader with over 3 years of experience in the organic trade and a demonstrated track record of developing and executing integrated marketing and communication plans from into end work.
Moral Of The Story
What helped me move to the next level of my life from high school to University was a skill.
With your assistance I would love to teach the young and upcoming children the importance of having an entrepreneurial skill. I believe this is what is going to elevate the youth and change the mindset with a dependency syndrome. It is important that children aged 10-18 remain in school and practice an entrepreneurial skill that’ll help them in their life after high school.
